The champagne gold crinkled metallic envelope is the collection’s most architecturally considered piece: a bag in which silhouette, surface pattern, and material are in complete, deliberate alignment.
The crinkled metallic leather — a fine, irregular surface of micro-folds with metallic coating on top — glows rather than shines, appearing internally lit rather than externally reflective. In champagne gold, warm and pale, the micro-crinkle catches light from multiple angles simultaneously. On the chevron quilting, shadow in the stitch channels contrasts with the glow of raised panels on either side: V-formations in alternating light and shadow converging toward the gold CC turn-lock at the flap centre. The envelope flap cut — two diagonal lines angling inward from the upper corners to meet at the CC — mirrors the chevron quilting exactly: silhouette and surface in the same diagonal direction, the hardware at their convergence point.
